Kaylee Huber
Kaylee Huber is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, majoring in Applied Mathematics with minors in Statistics and Sociology. She will graduate in December 2025 and earn the honors degree through the David C. Frederick Honors College. Kaylee made history at Pitt by becoming one of the first students from a regional campus to receive the Brackenridge Fellowship. Her research focused on using a Rubik’s Cube to introduce the concept of permutations, and she is in the process of publishing her findings through the Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review.
In the Spring of 2024, Kaylee was selected as a Green Scholar, where students collaborate with faculty mentors on research projects. During her time as a Green Scholar, she evaluated examination forms in a Basic Applied Statistics course using Classical Test Theory. She plans to expand upon her research findings under this project as part of her senior capstone project.
Kaylee has presented at both local and national conferences, including the AAAS S-STEM Conference in Chicago, IL, and the National Conference of Undergraduate Research in Pittsburgh, PA. She is also a SLICE (STEM Learning Interdisciplinary Community Expansion) Scholar, where she participates in various workshops, seminars, and journal clubs to further prepare for her future career.
Upon graduation, Kaylee plans to continue her education by enrolling in a PhD program in Statistics.
