Madeline

Madeline Hernandez-Mendez is a 23-year-old senior graduating this spring with a Bachelor’s degree in Preprofessional Biology, with a concentration in Small Animal Science. Over the past four years, she has worked as a veterinary technician, gaining hands-on experience in animal care and developing a deep understanding of the veterinary field. This experience has only strengthened her passion for helping animals and solidified her goal of becoming a veterinarian.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Mendez enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, who have been a constant source of support and encouragement. Whether traveling, relaxing at home, or simply enjoying each other’s company, these moments bring her joy and balance. She also finds peace and fulfillment through her faith and regularly attends church, where she connects with others and continues to grow spiritually.

Looking ahead, Mendez plans to apply to veterinary school to further her education in animal medicine. She is excited to expand her knowledge, refine her skills, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of animals and their owners. Passionate, dedicated, and determined, she believes that the journey she has taken thus far has prepared her well for the challenges ahead—and she is ready to embrace the next chapter in her pursuit of becoming a veterinarian.
